BAS7 Review

The British art show founded in the 1979 and had displayed work from a huge range of artists over the years this year the show took place it four city’s across the UK Plymouth , Glasgow, London and Nottingham, I wasn’t to see the shows being held in Plymouth it was spread over five locations across the cite each of there own historical and academic importance. Over all I was disappointed with some of the peace’s of display for example the work of Karla black I found to be a little insulting as the show was create to show the big is up and coming British art and I feel that her work lacked skill and imagination and skill and feel her participations in the show could have been used to promote an artist with more imagination I also feel that the show could have been curated better in my opinion the best and more thought provoking peace in the show “the clock “ by Christian Marclay was places in the royal William yard probably the least accessible venue within the Plymouth show and further more was located right at the back hidden away from view and could have been easily missed in its selected location.
